‘Top Chef Duels’ to Feature Boston Chefs Kristen Kish, Tiffani Faison
If you can’t wait to find out which culinary creator is dubbed “Top Chef’’ after the show finishes filming season 12 in Boston this summer, Bravo has conjured up a new show featuring some “TC’’ veterans to hold you over.
“Top Chef Duels,’’ a one-on-one competition series, will pit some of the show’s most recognizable competitors against each other in “three rounds of extreme culinary challenges,’’ according to a Bravo post.
A pair of Boston-based “Top Chef’’ veterans are among the 18 “Cheftestants’’ competing for the title — and the $100,000 grand prize.
Season 10 winner Kristen Kish will take on season 4 winner Stephanie Izard in the series’ eighth episode. Sweet Cheeks’ chef/owner Tiffani Faison (season 1 runner-up) will face Dale Talde (“Top Chef’’ season 4 contestant) in episode 6.
Kish hasn’t released a direct comment, but she retweeted an excited fan’s post this morning regarding the upcoming duel.

The show’s static judges will include Curtis Stone, Gail Simmons, Wolfgang Puck and Hugh Acheson, while celebrities like Pink and Rob Zombie will stop by to help guest judge. “The Fault in Our Stars’’ actress Shailene Woodley is also on the list of show special guests.
