You can drink free Luke’s coffee like a true ‘Gilmore Girl’ at two Massachusetts cafes this Wednesday
Netflix is bringing Stars Hollow’s favorite diner to two Massachusetts coffee shops this Wednesday.
The streaming service behind the hit TV show revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, is transforming 200 cafes across the country into Luke’s Diner on October 5, including Brighton’s Cafenation, and Lynn’s Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee.
The show’s caffeine loving and fast talking followers can score a free cup of coffee and possibly a “fun surprise under their custom Gilmore Girls coffee sleeve” at all the pop-up locations from 7 a.m. to noon, Eater reports. The day also represents a major milestone for the show: October 5 marks the 16th anniversary of the now defunct WB series, which aired its first episode in 2000.
The Luke’s Diner pop ups are part of Netflix’s promotions for the four 90-minute episodes of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life that will be released on November 25. The show’s revival was announced last October, alongside the show’s first trailer.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which is set in Connecticut, is expected to have plenty of original star power return alongside Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory), including Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Liza Weil (Paris), and more.
This isn’t the first Stars Hollow inspired event in anticipation to the show’s new episodes. The small Connecticut town that inspired the television hit, Washington, Connecticut, is hosting its first-ever Fan Fest from October 21-23—and it’s been sold out for weeks.
