It’s a good time to be a Greater Boston diner in 2025, with exciting and diverse restaurant openings occurring all over the metro area.

Each week, Boston.com will highlight the restaurant openings worth knowing about across the Greater Boston region. Some spots will already be open, while others are set to debut soon or later this year. At least one featured restaurant will always be a bonus item — either a pop-up, a collaboration, or event at area restaurants.

What’s new in Greater Boston restaurant openings this week

Aatma Curry House

A New Hampshire pop-up known for its eclectic take on Indian food will soon have a permanent home in Brighton. You won’t find chicken tikka masala on this menu, but chef Keith Sarasin swears by his burger — smashed masala-spiced beef patties topped with tangy onions, Amul cheese, and a house sauce on a toasted potato roll — being the best in the country.

190 N. Beacon St., Brighton

Incredible India

Little India Restaurant is transforming into Incredible India, according to What Now Boston. Guests will find some things unchanged, like the lunch buffet, but the restaurant is also getting a brand-new bar and menu additions like panipuri and other street foods. 

Opening date: Late 2025 or early 2026

475 Moody St., Waltham

Sea Dog Brewing Co.

A Maine-based brew pub chain is heading to the Bay State with its second Massachusetts location in Lowell. Beers on draft include their light lager and blueberry-flavored wheat ale, while bar food like nachos, burgers, and steak tips make up the menu.

From Chef Sarah Wade (of Stillwater and Sloane’s) comes a new concept that puts Wade’s playful, comfort-driven food into a bistro menu. Pork rillette is packed into macarons, while pastas are topped with rosemary chili-lime butter and toasted pine nuts. For drinks, you can keep it classic with cocktails like an old fashioned, or drink a signature cocktail like the spicy tequila Burning Passion or the “oyster” vodka Dirty Dill.

Bonus: The Tasting Room at Sweeties

Roslindale’s New Zealand-style ice cream parlor has launched a seasonal tasting menu curated by a resident chef. A menu is not available online, but this 5-course event is definitely for those with a sweet tooth. Tickets are $49.87 for an hour-long tasting event. 

Event details: From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10
