It’s a good time to be a Greater Boston diner in 2025, with exciting and diverse restaurant openings occurring all over the metro area.
Each week, Boston.com will highlight the restaurant openings worth knowing about across the Greater Boston region. Some spots will already be open, while others are set to debut soon or later this year. At least one featured restaurant will always be a bonus item — either a pop-up, a collaboration, or event at area restaurants.

An all-pink South Shore staple has headed to MetroWest to serve its sweet-flavored coffee drinks and iced teas. Try a menu standard, or go for their monthly specialty coffee beverage, which is maple cinnamon waffle for the entire month of October.

601 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham

This viral bagel shop is expanding its reach in Boston even more, only a few short months after opening its first area location in the Seaport. The (controversial) rip-apart bagels can now be found in Assembly Row, and The Harvard Crimson reports that the East Coast bagel chain will open in Harvard Square this month.

1440 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge
The perfect October opening comes from Dragon Pizza’s Charlie Redd with The Hollows, a neighborhood restaurant he described as having a “spooky vibe.” It isn’t immediately clear what the menu will look like yet, but Redd told The Somerville Times that The Hollows — in the former Rudy’s Cafe spot — is a “revisiting of craft cooking and hospitality.”

248 Holland St., Somerville
This Danvers brewery has opened its second space in Suffolk Downs, the Revere redevelopment that was once a horse race track. The redevelopment’s first retail space will serve brews like the Match Made in Heaven pastry stout and A World of Dreams hazy IPA, as well as food.

64 Salt St., Revere
The Cambridge nonprofit that operates a community hub for the arts is offering cafe operators the chance to pop up at their Kendall Square facility. One such pop-up this weekend is Ritual Cafe, which will serve matcha and espresso drinks “personalized to your mood.” There will also be meditation, journaling, and yoga at the one-time event. Cost to participate runs from $9 to $29 and includes the personalized drink and various activities.
Event date: Saturday, Oct. 11, from noon to 3:30 p.m.
