For some, the start of Phase 2 couldn’t come soon enough.
Restaurants opened their patios on Monday to plenty of fanfare, with some spots, like Buttermilk & Bourbon, booked well into the evening. After almost three months of being unable to serve diners on-site, establishments promised hand sanitizer stations, contactless payment systems, and plenty of masks to ease the transition.
Is that what you experienced?
We want to hear from Boston.com readers what it was like dining on patios this week in Boston and beyond, after months of takeout, delivery, and home cooking. Were you asked to wear a mask? How long did you have to wait in line for a table? What kind of payment system was used for the check? Most telling: How did it feel to finally sit down at a restaurant again?
