Shake Shack’s new Downtown Crossing location opens on Sunday
Crinkle-cut fries are coming to Washington Street.
Downtown denizens tired of their usual lunch routine have a new option on the horizon: Popular New York burger chain Shake Shack will open its new Downtown Crossing location on Nov. 3.
The national fast food company is set to debut its 322 Washington St. outpost at 11 a.m. on Sunday, offering free swag — a Shake Shack t-shirt — to the first 100 people in line.

Concretes at Shake Shack.
The 3,014-square-foot location will offer all of Shake Shack’s classics, including crinkle-cut fries and the ShackBurger, as well as regionally-themed frozen custards like the Revere’s Tracks, made with vanilla custard, chocolate toffee, salted caramel, and chocolate sprinkles. Local breweries are partnering with the company, too — Shake Shack plans to offer beer from Cambridge Brewing Company and Harpoon Brewery.
All of the chain’s locations donate 5 percent of the sales from one of its concretes — a frozen custard blended at high speed with various mix-ins — to a local charity. At the new location, sales from the Pie Oh My concrete will be donated to Project Bread, a nonprofit providing those in need with sustainable, reliable access to healthy food in Massachusetts.
This will be Shake Shack’s sixth location in the Boston area. The company has expanded at a steady rate in the region, and currently operates stores in Chestnut Hill, Dedham, Harvard Square, Newbury Street, and the Seaport, with locations at the Burlington Mall and within the Arsenal Yards development on the horizon.
