Technically, the dish is only referred to as the “pumpkin spice” lobster roll in a tongue-in-cheek email from a publicist for the restaurant — on the menu, the dish is called the sage lobster roll and features fresh lobster meat tossed in sage brown butter, topped with lightly fried butternut squash and served on a toasted roll. Assuming you’re not carrying in your own pumpkin spice latte, the restaurant suggests pairing the fall-flavored roll with Barking Crab’s White Ale and its “wintery spices and notes of citrus.”
