Three Chicken & Rice Guys outposts set to reopen, pending inspections. Food trucks will remain closed.

Boston officials said three Chicken and Rice Guys restaurants could reopen as early as Saturday, after an E. coli outbreak shuttered the chain for the last 10 days.

The three restaurants still need to undergo a final inspection before resuming business. But the city has already said the commissioner of inspectional services plans to “purchase the first meal of the day,” pending the outcome.

All five of the food trucks operated by the Chicken & Rice Guys will remain closed until further notice, according to the city.
