The line for Sully’s on Castle Island is absolutely ridiculous
It must almost be spring, because the long line at Sullivan’s tells us so.
Sullivan’s (aka Sully’s), the Castle Island concession stand known for its hot dogs, opened for its 66th season at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday—two days early—due to the warm weather. The stand had been posting plans for a Saturday opening for weeks.
What’s more, the decades-old establishment announced that its hot dogs will be sold at half price—95 cents plus tax—through March 3.
The result? A line that looked like this:

The stand, which debuted in June 1951 and is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. until sunset, is well-known for its long lines. The South Boston hot spot also serves lobster rolls, clams, fish, burgers, fries, ice cream, and breakfast foods.
