Southie’s Boston Beer Garden says goodbye for good

After a two decade run as one of Southie’s nighttime hangouts, Sunday was the final day for Boston Beer Garden.

As Eater Boston reported last week, the East Broadway bar is closing for good. The company announced earlier this month on Facebook that it would officially be closing Sunday, after two ticketed send-off events Friday and Saturday nights.

According to Eater, a new restaurant is set to takeover the spot.

For those in need of a new St. Patrick’s Day drinking spot, there’s apparently a Southie-inspired Boston Beer Garden in Florida.
