Many long months of campaigning culminate tomorrow, when the American people will elect our next president. It seems fitting to spend the evening with a good drink and good company. In keeping with the city’s long tradition of gathering in the name of politics, a number of bars in the Boston area are gearing up for viewing events on Tuesday night—complete with specials, deals, and themed cocktails. Check out the list of spots below for some of your options.
Brass Union
Brass Union will host a vote of its own, giving you a choice between three rum-based cocktails, appropriately named “Bye Obama,” “Air Force Rum,” and “Running Mate.” Plus, anyone who sports an “I Voted” sticker to the event will receive a “special treat from Captain Morgan.” (Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m.; 70 Union Square, Somerville; free admission)
Chelsea Station Restaurant Bar & Lounge
Chelsea Station is taking an optimistic outlook on its election night coverage, hosting “the end of civilization as we know it cocktail party” with free snacks, fun drinks, and giveaways.
