Impress friends and family this holiday season by learning sweet tricks and cookie recipes from some of baking’s elites.

The Boston Center for Adult Education is hosting Dorie Greenspan, cookbook author and winner of six James Beard and International Association of Culinary Professionals awards, for a “Great Cookie Swap” on Wednesday, November, 30—and Flour Bakery’s Joanne Chang is her special guest.

The event, also featuring journalist Micheline Maynard, is described as “an evening of cookies, conversation, and fun,” according to a statement from the BCAE, a nonprofit adult education center in Boston. The trio is expected to talk about everything from their favorite baking ingredients and tips, to stories from their own kitchens. A book signing and reception, with plenty of  the chef’s favorite cookies for hungry guests, will follow the discussion.

Chang, a Harvard grad, has been expanding her bakery and cafe throughout the year, with the most recently opened location being in Harvard Square. A second Cambridge location is expected to open in Cambridgeport in December, with another two Boston locations, behind the Prudential Center and in Back Bay, coming in 2017. The James Beard Award winner is also a force to be reckoned with outside of desserts. She is continuing to grow Asian fusion restaurant Myers + Chang, and opening a new restaurant next year.

If you’re looking to share your love of all things sweet with Chang, you can register for the class online. Tickets cost $25 for nonmembers and $22 for members.
