A vegan pizza place is coming to Somerville
Veggie Crust plans to open mid-June.
Somerville’s Union Square is getting a new pizza place, but not all of the pies will be covered in cheese.
Veggie Crust will serve “vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian pizza, and vegan nice cream,” according to a sign hanging over the shuttered A4 Pizza location on Somerville Avenue.

A4 closed last November, according to Eater Boston, and its neighbors, Dosa N Curry, are expanding into the space at 445 Somerville Ave. Dosa N Curry, an Indian restaurant, keeps their kitchen free of eggs, meat, fish, and animal by-products,as well.
Veggie Crust plans to open mid-June, according to The Somerville Journal.
