These are the most popular sports bars in Boston, according to check-in data
A frequently packed restaurant just outside Fenway takes the top spot.
Though the Celtics bowed out of the playoffs in the first round and the Bruins (thankfully) never made it that far, there’s still plenty of sports to watch this weekend. The Red Sox have another series against the hated Yankees, the Kentucky Derby promises to be a julep-sipping good time, and the NBA playoffs are still fascinating, even with Steph Curry sidelined and the Celtics sitting at home. In short, there’s no offseason for Boston’s sports bars. But which ones are the most popular?
Thanks to data from check-in app Swarm, we were able to find out which sports bars people checked into the most from Wednesday, April 27 to Tuesday, May 3.
For those unfamiliar, Swarm is an app from Foursquare that lets users check in when they visit locations like restaurants, bars, and parks. The app also makes every day a game with perks like coins and mayorships, and lets users keep track of streaks and places they’ve been with an updated profile tab.
