It’s a good time to be a Greater Boston diner in 2025, with exciting and diverse restaurant openings occurring all over the metro area. 

Each week, Boston.com will highlight the restaurant openings worth knowing about across the Greater Boston region. Some spots will already be open, while others are set to debut soon or later this year. At least one featured restaurant will always be a bonus item — either a pop-up, a collaboration, or event at area restaurants.

What’s new in Greater Boston restaurant openings this week

Mila’s

Enjoy waterfront views at Gibson Point apartment complex in Revere day or night with this new cafe and restaurant from restaurateur Michael Aldi, behind other Revere restaurants Dryft, Fine Line, and ViVi’s Tapas Bar. By day, Mila’s will serve overnight oats, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches, and by night, expect a lounge feel with pizza, small plates, and cocktails.

1 Gibson Way, Revere

Nine Winters Bakery

What started as a pop-up out of Honeycomb Creamery and a stall in Bow Market is now in its own brick-and-mortar home in Cambridge. Marissa Ferola, whose concept was born out of teaching her daughters about their Korean heritage through food, brings to the new space Korean-American baked goods, like Gochujang brownies and milk bread finger sandwiches.

Taquería Jalísco

One of Boston’s favorite Mexican cuisine spots has expanded to a second location, both now serving Eastie. Its huge menu features sweet-tooth brunch items like tres leches pancakes and horchata lattes or dinner meals like birria tacos, loaded burritos, and margarita flights from its full bar.

980 Saratoga St., East Boston

The Weston Way LLC

Thanks to additional liquor licenses approved by state lawmakers last year, Roxbury will get a much-needed sit-down, late-night-food option with a full bar, also called the 02119 Project by its owner, Clayton Weston. The menu is not finalized yet, but Weston told the Licensing Board he wants to serve food inspired by cuisine from the West Indies. He also told the Licensing Board in April he hoped to open in the summer.

Bonus: Marzae Wine natural wine fair

Get a sneak peek at Marzae Wine’s future vineyard site, celebrate sustainable agriculture, AND drink natural wine all in one day at this event that features 18 wine producers from the East Coast. There will be food, of course, to pair with your wine, from vendors like Third Time Ice Cream Co. and Curio Spice Co. If you can’t make the festivities out in Haverhill, several restaurants in Greater Boston are hosting satellite events throughout the weekend.

Event date: Fair is Sunday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; satellite events run from Friday to Sunday at various locations and times
