In what would be the state’s seventh Wegmans location, the Rochester, New York-based chain just signed a lease in Medford’s Meadow Glen Mall, Banker & Tradesman reported.

Though Wegmans would not comment on the length of their lease, they did tell Boston.com that the store will be approximately 120,000 square feet and they anticipate that it will open in fall 2017.

Currently there are Wegmans locations in Burlington, Chestnut Hill, Northborough and Westwood. They also plan to open up locations at the Natick Mall and Landmark Center in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood.

Talks of Medford Wegmans have been circulating since last December when previous Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn said in his final state of the city address that the grocery chain would be moving into the Meadow Glen Mall, though there were no further details at the time.
