Martha Stewart’s The Bedford is now open at this New England resort

The Bedford is styled after Martha Stewart's sprawling farmhouse estate in New York, and the menu includes some of the homemaking mogul's favorite recipes.

New Englanders can now eat and live like the queen of domesticity herself — at least during a dinner service — at The Bedford by Martha Stewart, now open at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

The Bedford, named after Stewart’s sprawling, 152-acre farmhouse estate in New York, opened to the public on Saturday, March 14. The restaurant is Stewart’s first on the East Coast and and second location of The Bedford, the first being in Las Vegas.

The menu is made up of some familiar dishes from Stewart’s homemaking arsenal: the famous $23 bread basket, comforting pierogies, and honey-mustard salmon.

There are also Foxwoods exclusive dishes, like a giant turkey meatball in red sauce, pasta Limone, and a breaded crispy chicken Milanese. Open for breakfast as well, guests can order early-morning offerings like a French omelet, Grand Marnier French toast, and a stack of buttermilk blueberry pancakes.

As for the bar program, libations include a list of spirits, bottled beer, wine both by the glass and bottle, and cocktails that mostly riff on classics. You’ll find a Martha-tini, essentially a martini with a twist, or a classic Martha-rita with a pink sea salt rim.

The restaurant spans 10,000 square feet and seats up to 204 guests.

“Bringing The Bedford concept to my own ‘backyard’ is so gratifying,” Stewart said in a press release. “We are so proud of the menu, which depicts many of the foods I love to serve at my own home, and the architecture and design of the space, which is a beautiful interpretation of my farm in Bedford, New York.”

Though the restaurant is now open to the public for breakfast and dinner daily — lunch is available Friday through Sunday — some celebrity guests got a sneak peek at The Bedford. A release said Friday’s dinner service saw guests like musician 50 Cent, model Christie Brinkley, and Olympian figure skater Johnny Weir.

Foxwoods, a resort and casino owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, has dozens of dining options on its campus, several of them celebrity concepts. For example, there’s a location of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, Masaharu Morimoto’s Momosan, and Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar.
