If you’re trying to lock in a Valentine’s Day reservation, OpenTable’s latest rankings offer two Massachusetts restaurants to keep on your radar. The reservation platform just released its annual list of the Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in America, and Sorellina in Boston and Pellana Steakhouse in Peabody made the cut.
OpenTable built the list by analyzing more than 9 million reviews from verified diners and dining metrics from Dec. 1, 2024 through Nov. 30, 2025, including ratings, the percentage of five-star reviews, and how far in advance people book.
Sorellina is a polished Back Bay dining room with a more formal, intimate feel — dim lighting, a quieter atmosphere, and a layout geared toward smaller tables and lingering meals. The menu leans Italian-Mediterranean, with an emphasis on seafood and pastas. Current offerings include broiled branzino with romanesco, green olives, and fennel pollen, as well as with scallops with sweet potato, bacon, maitake mushroom, and marsala. The kitchen keeps the menu seasonal, rotating ingredients while maintaining a core lineup of seafood, pasta, and meat dishes that suit the restaurant’s special-occasion setting.
Pellana is a traditional steakhouse on the North Shore, with low lighting, dark interiors, and a dining room built design for leisurely, sit-down dinners. The menu centers on prime cuts of beef, classic steakhouse sides, and seafood dishes prepared in a similarly rich style. OpenTable notes diner favorites like filet mignon, prime New York sirloin, and seared scallops with lobster-corn and scallion risotto. The restaurant also offers a large wine program, built for pairing bottles with steaks, chops, or seafood.
The Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in 2026 is available on OpenTable’s website.
