Not Your Average Joe’s is closing its Watertown location after nearly three decades in business.
The restaurant at 55 Main St. will serve its last customers on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
“We have been here for 27 years and have had many wonderful years in this great community,” a spokesperson for the company told Boston.com. “It was a very tough decision to leave, and we will miss being part of Watertown.”
The spokesperson added that “many memories and wonderful moments have taken place” at the restaurant, and invited customers to stop by before the doors close for good: “We hope to see everyone one last time.”
The Watertown closure follows the shutdown of the chain’s Peabody location in December 2025, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Not Your Average Joe’s first opened in Dartmouth in 1994. The restaurant is known for its eclectic American-style menu, casual dining atmosphere, and offerings like happy hour specials, brunch, and dinner packages.
The chain still has Massachusetts locations open in Acton, Bedford, Norwell, Hyannis, Waltham, and Westwood, along with out-of-state restaurants in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.
