Got something encouraging to say to the Pats before the AFC Championship game against the Broncos? Now’s your chance to do so, on camera, with a morning pint in hand and a poster in the other at Boston’s oldest Irish pub.

J.J. Foley’s Cafe invites Patriots fans to pack the South End bar Friday with jerseys and signs to cheer on the team that had a helluva turnaround season, putting the Pats back in a spot they’re familiar with: the playoffs. The ‘Today’ show, NBC Boston’s Priscilla Casper, Patriots cheerleaders, and mascot Pat the Patriot will take part in a team send-off to Denver, where the Pats face the Broncos Sunday.
A press release from the J.J. Foley’s team urges fans to bring the passion, chants, and “championship energy” as the ‘Today’ show broadcasts the send-off live.
Here’s the catch: It’s on Friday from 7 to 9 a.m., but the realest Pats fans will brave the freezing temps and show up to work late in order to show their team they care.
Anchor Casper also shared on Instagram that there will be some morning Guinness available — J.J. Foley’s touts itself as doing the best pours, for the record — with custom Patriots pints. A spokesperson also confirmed that J.J. Foley’s kitchen would open early for fans, and Kane’s Donuts will provide complimentary doughnuts decorated in red, white, and blue for the occasion.
