Musical group Haim just revealed where to get the best bagels in Boston—once they could remember the name.
In a recent interview with WERS 88.9FM’s Parker, sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim recalled visiting a spot that had a “line out the door” and “felt like a pop-up.” After some hesitation, the name came back to them, and they couldn’t stop repeating it: Brick Street Bagels.
“Bomb bagels. Amazing Bagels,” the band said. They thanked the bagel shop directly, “Thank you! It was so good.”
The group also gushed over the city. “I love Boston so much,” Haim said of their experience in the city.
Haim is currently promoting their fourth studio album, “I Quit,” and performed at The Stage at Suffolk Downs on Sept. 5. Alana Haim spent time in Boston last fall while filming “The Drama,” an upcoming A24 release starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
Brick Street Bagels is known for its fresh bagels with a crunchy exterior and a warm, freshly-baked interior. It offers regular bagel drops at its South End spot and pop-ups for customers who pre-order the bagel online. It was among Boston.com readers’ favorite bagels in 2024.
Founded in 2022 by Jordan Renouf out of his home, Brick Street grew after running pop-ups across South Boston, South End, Cambridge, and Beacon Hill. The popular establishment plans to open a permanent location in South Boston, where customers can expect “fresh bagels, open-faced sandwiches, coffee and whatever else our whimsy leads us to.”
