Chef Lambert Givens, better known as Chef Lambo, isn’t one to shy away from a challenge — even on national television. In August 2022, he succeed in the Food Network challenge-show “Beat Bobby Flay,” winning against the celebrity chef with his signature gumbo.

On Tuesday night, Chef Lambo, the executive chef at Hunter’s Kitchen and Bar in South Boston, is back on screen for his latest Food Network appearance on the cooking competition series “Chopped.”

In Tuesday night’s episode, Lambo takes on three other chefs in an episode called “Midnight Snack Attack.” The chefs battle to create an appetizer, entree, and dessert out of classic late-night cravings.

Chef Lambo worked at various restaurants in South Boston (Lincoln, Capo, and Fat Baby) before starting at Hunter’s in 2021 where he specializes in elevated Southern comfort food.

Food Network posted a teaser of the episode showing Lambo and his competitors opening their first basket of the challenge. Inside, they find carne asada tacos, pickles, salsa con queso, and instant ramen — all of which they will need to combine to make an appetizer that satisfies the judges.

Watch Season 61 of “Chopped,” Episode 11 “Midnight Snack Attack” on Tuesday, March 18 at 8 p.m. on Food Network.
