World-renowned food authority Anthony Bourdain is coming to Boston this fall.

The chef, bestselling author, and Emmy-winning television creator will bring his second live tour, “The Hunger,” to Symphony Hall on October 7.

Bourdain’s live show will be “an unyielding, brutally honest monologue reflecting on diverse culture, street cuisine and his travels to lesser-known locations around the world,” according to the event description. His standup will be followed by an open question-and-answer session.

Bourdain’s 15-city tour is launching the same month as his next book, Appetites: A Cookbook—his first cookbook in more than a decade.

Appetites features dishes that Bourdain believes everyone should know how to cook. It’s “written with the no-holds-barred, no-bullshit-allowed ethos of his beloved series, Parts Unknown,” the hit that airs on CNN, according to a statement.
