Shawn Mendes made a surprise stop at Brookline Lunch in Cambridge after a chance meeting with the owner’s son at a local gym. The pop star, in Boston for his Sept. 25 concert at TD Garden, dropped by the family-run cafe for breakfast.
“Not everyone’s gym sesh ends with meeting @shawnmendes and inviting him to your parent’s diner and him come in the next day AND have your baba get him behind the grill BUT this is BLINE and magical things happen here💛🌻,” the diner posted on Instagram.
The Sept. 26 post showed Mendes enjoying a feast of dishes — and even scrambling eggs in the kitchen. Mendes was also photographed signing the top of the restaurant’s exposed brick wall.
