This new Maynard brew pub will serve barbecue and, of course, lots of beer
The Battle Road Brew House opens this weekend.
Fans of Battle Road Brewing Company beer can order a brew with a New England clam chowder at the company’s new brewery and pub, opening Saturday in Maynard.

The Battle Road Brew House, debuting alongside Battle Road’s new brewery inside Maynard’s historic Clock Tower Mill, includes a full restaurant, bar, dining room, private tasting rooms for events, and patio seating.
It will serve Southern barbecue dishes (think slow smoked ribs and homemade sauces and rubs), as well as New England favorites (ponder chowder, oysters, and fried fish).

And, of course, there will be plenty of beer.
Founders Jeremy Cross and Scott Houghton, who have been contract brewing since 2012, will use a 15-barrel brewing system to produce about 1,500 barrels a year of their 1775 Tavern Ale, Barrett’s Farmhouse Ale, Lexington IPA, Midnight Rider Porter, and other seasonal beers. All will be available for tasting, plus a special Kolsch-style pale ale called Minuteman Gold.
Beginning this spring, the brewery will also offer tours on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The Brew House’s grand opening takes place this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., with live music by The Road Dawgs from 9 p.m. to midnight.
