Gilmore Girls fans are about to be as happy as Lorelai Gilmore during winter’s first snowfall: Netflix released its first full trailer for the show’s revival Tuesday morning.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which is set in Connecticut, will be released on Netflix on November 25 as four 90-minute episodes. The show’s revival was announced last October, alongside the show’s first teaser trailer.
The newest trailer gives fans a look for the first time at the actual footage of the highly-anticipated revival, showing fans that though it may be 10 years later, the girls are still staying true to their same movie-marathoning, junk food-binging, coffee-drinking ways, much to Luke’s dismay.
“Did we order Chinese, Greek, and Italian food last night?” the trailer opens. “And hot dogs.”
It seems fans won’t be lacking the show’s acclaimed pop culture references either. Jokes about Ben Affleck as Batman and Tori Spelling’s grill incident both made the cut for the trailer.
The continuation of the sharp-witted saga of an independent mother and daughter is expected to have plenty of original star power return alongside Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory), including Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Liza Weil (Paris), and more. Missing in person—but not in presence—from the trailer is actor Ed Herman (Richard), who died in 2014.
November 25, copper boom!
