President Obama got some feedback on his resume from Stephen Colbert during an appearance on Monday’s episode of The Late Show.
In the pretaped segment, Colbert surprised the commander in chief with an offer to help sharpen the president’s interview skills, going over Obama’s resume by pretending to be “Randy, the office manager.”
As he did so, Colbert remarked that 55 is a “tough time to start over for a man.”
“I don’t see any promotions for the last eight years,” Colbert said. “That’s not always good. Can you explain that?”
“Honestly, there wasn’t a lot of room for advancement at my last job,” the president said. “The only one with a more powerful position was my wife.”
“Oh, OK, good,” Colbert said. “Hmm, is it a twofur? Can we get both of you by any chance?”
“Doubtful,” Obama said.
