Netflix’s newest comedy series focuses on friends from Harvard
Netflix announced Monday that it has given the green light to its newest comedy series, “Friends From College”—a story that revolves around a group of friends who went to Harvard together.
Harvard is a familiar place for the show’s husband-and-wife producing team, Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, who are both alumni from the university. They are both executive producers and writers for the series, and Stoller will direct all eight episodes, according to a statement from Netflix.
Netflix describes the show as centering on a “group of friends who went to Harvard together and are now facing down their forties and experiencing a range of success, or lack thereof, both professionally and domestically.”
The cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Fred Savage, Jae Suh Park, Annie Parisse, and Nat Faxon. Production is scheduled to begin this fall in New York.
