Here’s when you can watch Netflix’s ‘Gilmore Girls’ revival
Get ready to settle in on the couch with a big cup of coffee, plenty of Pop-Tarts, maybe a “fun flask,” and definitely Netflix this November: Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life finally has a premiere date.
Netflix announced Wednesday that its highly anticipated revival will premiere globally on Thanksgiving weekend: November 25, at 3:01 a.m. A Year in the Life will consist of four 90-minute episodes, each covering a different season of the year.
The show’s revival was announced last October. Gilmore Girls, which is set in Connecticut, premiered on the now-defunct WB network in 2000, before transferring to spin-off network The CW in 2006 for its final season.
The original stars set to return alongside Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory) include Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Liza Weil (Paris), and more.
Along with the premiere date announcement, Netflix also dropped its first trailer to give fans a sneak peak into what A Year in the Life is going to look like. The trailer shows Graham and Bledel doing what they do best: talking fast and making pop-culture references—and both Amy Schumer and John Oliver got shout-outs.
