So, so much happens on a daily basis in the 2016 election cycle. In the midst of it all, President Barack Obama is nearing the end of his second term in the White House.

To recap all the things the president accomplished over the past eight years, on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show, Obama and host Jimmy Fallon slow jammed for six minutes — covering everything from gay marriage becoming legal to the creation of millions of jobs.

Obama also sat down with Fallon for an interview, discussing the state of the Republican Party (“What’s happened in that party, culminating in this current nomination, I think is not actually good for this country as a whole.”), Hillary Clinton (“She is whip-smart. She is tough. And she deeply cares about working people.”), and, perhaps most poignantly, the weight of being president of the United States (“This is a serious job. This is not reality TV.”).
