John Cena doesn’t really love being called ‘The Marky Mark of the WWE’

Straight outta West Newbury, Massachusetts, John Cena is an oversized ripped dude, pro WWE wrestler, rapper, and now actor. The Massachusetts-bred beefy guy turned rapper/actor narrative is a lot like Mark Wahlberg’s, so it’s only natural that Cena adopted the nickname “the Marky Mark of the WWE.” That, and also because John Cena used to look like this:
Host James Corden showed that photo on Wednesday’s The Late Late Show, noting the nickname, too.
“Is that a nickname you like? ‘The Marky Mark of the WWE’?” Corden asked.
“Probably about as much as you’d like being called ‘The Jamesy James of Late Night,’” Cena said.
Take note, everyone. This is not the face of somebody who loves his Mark Wahlberg-inspired nickname.
