Boston-bred comedian Louis CK told Jimmy Fallon on Monday’s The Tonight Show that he wrote parts just for Edie Falco and Jessica Lange in his self-funded TV show Horace and Pete. But, because Horace and Pete was a hush-hush project, he couldn’t just call up their agents and pitch the idea.
So what ever did Louis CK do? He hijacked an empty seat next to Edie Falco at the Emmys and told her, “Hey, I’m making a show and it’s a secret, but I wrote a part just for you, and I want you to read it.” Edie Falco said sure.
Then he walked over to Jessica Lange and said the same thing. Meanwhile, CK turned around to see Edie Falco side-eyeing him.
“She heard it all, [thinking I’m] just going up to every person being on the planet Earth,” he said. But hey, he got ‘em both.
