Chris Rock came out to host the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday night, and man, was he not messing around.

The comedian/actor faced pressure to boycott the awards show back in January in light of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, but remained on board as host.

On Sunday, the entirety of his opening monologue was dedicated to the diversity issues facing Hollywood.

“I’m here at the Academy Awards, otherwise known as the White People’s Choice Awards,’’ Rock said.

Some of his other notable one-liners:

–’’Things are changing! We got a black Rocky this year! Some called it ‘Creed,’ I call it ‘Black Rocky.’’’

–“Is Hollywood racist? You’re damn right Hollywood is racist.’’

–’’You realize if they nominated hosts, I wouldn’t even have this job. You’d be watching Neil Patrick Harris now.’’

–’’We want opportunity. We want the black actors to get the same opportunities as white actors.’’
