Carrie Brownstein’s love for New Kids on the Block will never cease

As a guest on The Late Late Show Tuesday night, Carrie Brownstein of Portlandia — a show based on the other Portland, the Oregon one — discussed the proper way to love a boy band, in the context of New Kids on the Block, of course. Her favorite guy, she told James Corden, is Danny Wood.
“Everyone loved Jordan or Joey,’’ Brownstein said. “And I was like, ‘I can’t get with either of those guys. I have a better chance with Danny.’ You have to be strategic.’’
Corden, who is a big fan of boy bands himself, asked, “So you were playing the odds?’’
