Steve Carell may or may not fill his toilets with mulled wine during the holidays
(He doesn’t.)

Steve Carell appeared on Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote his new movie, The Big Short. He and DeGeneres also got into the logistics of holiday lighting—in Carell’s neighborhood, it apparently gets pretty crazy.
When DeGeneres asked if he’s the one that takes on the holiday decorating, Carell joked he and his family go all out, filling “toilets with mulled wine,’’ his wife making “a frankincense and myrrh loaf.’’

“Is it a competition?’’ DeGeneres also asked. “Because everybody in that neighborhood you live in goes nuts for Halloween and Christmas.’’
“I appreciate when people go nuts,’’ Carell said. “I don’t go nuts. We, actually — my wife, Nancy, and our kids — get into the car once around Christmas time, and we get a big box of doughnuts and hot chocolate, and we drive around looking at Christmas lights in our neighborhood.’’
If you’re “aw’’-ing right now, know that Carell feels the same way:
