Seems like Donald Trump doesn’t mind that Tom Brady has been dragged into politics.
During Trump’s appearance Wednesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel had a copy of The Daily News’s December 16 cover that blares the headline, “Brady Has No Balls!’’ The story pertains to Brady saying earlier this week on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan Show’’ that “Donald is a good friend’’ of his and Brady “supports’’ all of his friends.
“What do you make of this?’’ Kimmel asked Trump.
“He’s a very good friend of mine, a great guy — by the way, this is a great guy and a winner, a champion, and he’s fantastic,’’ Trump said.
“Now if I were in New England, [this] place would go crazy,’’ Trump said when the audience didn’t react.
“We have no football team,’’ Kimmel said of Los Angeles. “We have no opinion on any of this.’’
Trump added: “Tom’s a great guy. I guess there was something where everyone was saying, ‘What about Donald Trump? What about this, what about that?’ And they had to end the news conference. But I want to tell you, Tom Brady is a winner.’’
