Hillary Clinton is not amused by Donald Trump

“What he’s saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it’s dangerous.’’

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers Thursday to discuss topics like gun control, North Korea, and, of course, Donald Trump.

Turns out, Clinton doesn’t think he’s amusing anymore.

“I have to say, Seth, I no longer think he’s funny,’’ she said. “I think for weeks you and everybody else were just bringing folks to hysterical laughter and all of that. Now he has gone way over the line. And what he’s saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it’s dangerous.’’

Clinton spoke directly about Trump’s plan to ban Muslims, which Meyers had taken a closer look at on his show Tuesday night.

“This latest demand that we not let Muslims into our country really plays right into the hands of the terrorists,’’ Clinton said. “And I don’t say that lightly, but it does. He is giving them a great propaganda tool, a way to recruit more folks from Europe and the United States.’’

Clinton concluded: “I think everybody, especially other Republicans, need to stand up and say, ‘Enough, you’ve gone too far, that’s not who we are, that’s not the kind of country we believe we are, and we’re just not going to tolerate it. I hope more people will do that.’’
