Vermont Senator, presidential hopeful, and dancing treasure Bernie Sanders appeared on Wednesday’s night special Brooklyn edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Among many things Kimmel and Sanders discussed — a pretty, pretty good Larry David, his electability, and his spirituality, to name a few — Sanders got especially candid about his position on pot.
“What’s your stance on marijuana?’’ Kimmel asked.
Bernie:

He continued, more serious:
We have more people in jail today than any other country on earth. We have large numbers that have been destroyed because of this war on drugs and because people were caught smoking marijuana and so forth. I think we have got to end the war on drugs. Look at what’s going on in Colorado and elsewhere. But I am not unfavorably disposed to moving toward the legalization of marijuana.
So, no, this isn’t particularly new information we’re learning about Sanders. But, hey, just be grateful he didn’t talk about his underwear.
