A photojournalist’s breathtaking drone videos capture the South Shore in all its glory

His most recent one shows the Milton High School crew team rowing on the Neponset River.

We’ve all seen our fair share of aerial views of Boston, whether by drone or helicopter. But there’s plenty of gorgeous vistas to be seen south of the city as well.

The best evidence of that is from photojournalist Scott Eisen, whose recent footage of the Milton High School crew team rowing on the Neponset River was highlighted on Universal Hub.

Eisen, who lives in Dorchester and regularly takes photos for The Boston Globe (which, like Boston.com is owned by Boston Globe Media), has pretty much cornered the market on drone videos of the South Shore in the last four months, posting stunning footage from Quincy to Hull taken with his DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone to YouTube.

He typically launches his drone from Milton Landing, but has also taken videos of  the Quincy Quarries, Bare Cove Park in Hingham, and the Scituate Lighthouse, among many others.

For those who might be worried about the legality of his aerial photos, Eisen said that he always flies well below the legal limit of 400 feet, and he’s never flown within the five-mile restricted zone surrounding Logan Airport.
