Singer Charlie Puth performed a soulful rendition of the National Anthem at Super Bowl LX, kicking off the matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks in style.
Standing in front of a Rhodes keyboard, the Grammy-nominated musician’s heartfelt performance was met by loud applause and cheers from the crowd assembled at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
Puth got his start in music at a young age, starting a YouTube channel at age 17 and rising to prominence with his acoustic covers. Not long after, he enrolled at Berklee College Music, graduating in 2013 with a degree in music production and engineering.
Puth’s rendition of the National Anthem was the final performance in a packed pregame schedule.
Prior to the Star-Spangled Banner came a beautiful rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by singer Coco Jones, a performance of “America the Beautiful” by Brandi Carlile, and a short pregame concert from Green Day.
