The 10 best commercials from Super Bowl LII
Live the best advertising moments of the game all over again.
Last night’s score was almost too close to call — and not the one between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. Rather, Amazon’s Super Bowl commercial just won out over the NFL’s, according to an Ad Meter ranking.
USA Today created Ad Meter nearly 30 years ago to rank Super Bowl ads. Those who register to be Ad Meter panelists vote on each TV spot, and those submissions are compiled and averaged to create a ranking on a 1-10 scale. The 2018 win went to a star-studded Amazon commercial featuring chef Gordon Ramsay, rapper Cardi B, actress Rebel Wilson, and actor Anthony Hopkins; in the ad, they all step in when the company’s Alexa loses her voice. None of the ads with New England celebrities made the cut.
