Amy Poehler and Mike Schur, the two creative powerhouses that gave us “Parks and Recreation,” are reportedly teaming up again for a new show.

According to Variety, Schur and Poehler are hard at work on “Dig,” a new comedy for Peacock based on Kate Myers’ debut novel “Excavations.”

The book is about four women at different stages in their lives who are in a remote part of Greece on an archaeological dig. Per a series synopsis, when the women unearth a “long-buried secret with the potential to rewrite history, they find themselves at the center of a high-stakes conspiracy.”

Poehler is clearly a fan of “Excavations”: The Burlington native wrote a blurb for the book’s cover, calling it “funny, smart, and deeply delicious.” Booklist, meanwhile, described the book as “if Aubrey Plaza’s April Ludgate from ‘Parks and Recreation’ decided to write a sun-drenched novel about feminism, friendship, and archeology.”

According to Variety, Poehler is set to star in “Dig,” with Schur writing the first episode. Before working together on “Parks and Recreation,” the duo first crossed paths at “Saturday Night Live,” where Poehler was a cast member and Schur was a writer.

After “SNL,” Schur served as an executive producer on “The Office,” and also made appearances as Mose Schrute, the brother of Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson). Schur also created or co-created “The Good Place,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and the recent Netflix comedy “A Man on the Inside.”
