Throughout the duration of Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, the former Patriots gunslinger sat back and absorbed dozens of jokes about his divorce, his vanity, his poor business decisions, and his former teammates.
Over the course of the lengthy special, which aired live with no commercial interruptions for more than three hours, Brady only appeared visibly perturbed by one joke — and it concerned Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
When comedian Jeff Ross took the stage after an introduction from Kevin Hart, the roast veteran was firing on all cylinders. Ross, ever the provocateur, came dressed in an O.J. Simpson jersey flanked by women dressed as devils.
“I just came from Hell,” Ross said. “Aaron Hernandez says hello.”
Ross proceeded to clown on Brady for several minutes, while Brady looked on and laughed.
Tensions appeared to rise, however, when Ross referenced Kraft, who was in the audience at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
“Tom became a Patriot, moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office, and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made,'” Ross said, pausing for a beat to let the audience applaud before delivering the punchline. “Would you like a massage?”
In February 2019, the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office charged Kraft with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution after police said they videotaped the owner engaging in a sex act at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida.
The charges were dropped in 2020 after courts blocked usage of the video in a trial. Prior to the charges being dropped, Kraft issued a public apology.
Following his joke, Ross pointed out Kraft in the audience, and seemed ready to continue ribbing the Patriots owner.
At that point, Brady rose from his seat and attempted to whisper to Ross. Because he was standing so close to the dais, the microphones clearly picked up Brady telling Ross, “Don’t say that s*** again.”

“All right, all right,” Ross said, quickly mentioning how much he loved Kraft and “what you do for the Jews,” before moving on.
While it’s possible that Brady’s reaction was a scripted bit of theater, Ross did seem to be apologizing to Brady as his roast ended — which in turn drew a reaction from roast host Kevin Hart.
“Stop being a b**** Jeff, just sit down,” Hart said. “Stop kissing his a**. ‘You ok, right Tom? It was just jokes.’ Such a b****.”
Netflix’s Tom Brady roast is now streaming on Netflix.
