Play With Your Ski Terrain

By Heather Burke, Boston.com Correspondent
Here’s another ski tip from my Ski Guru Josh Foster, Level 4 ski instructor at Big White Ski Resort in BC, Canada.
Josh talks about varying your skiing to play with the terrain. I love changing my turn size to suit the hill. For example, making bigger GS turns for wide open slopes (being mindful of other skiers – I don’t want to be a trail hog), and using shorter quicker slalom-style turns for steeper, narrower trails. Josh wants you to “squeeze every bit of fun out of your run.” Sounds good. So enjoy this ski technique video, play with the ski terrain you’re on for variety, and I’ll see you on the slopes.
