If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to go skiing this winter and – oh yeah – don’t exactly have a more effective way of getting there than sticking your thumb out on the highway, the Boston Ski and Sports Club has got you covered.

BSSC recently released its 2014-15 slate of day and weekend trips this season, including this weekend’s trip to Jay Peak ($179), which will include free skiing with the mountain opening on Nov. 28.

If you missed out on that one, there are plenty more dates to mark on the calendar with trips headed to Sugarloaf, Sunday River, Jay Peak, Montreal, and the Eastern Townships of Canada.

Trips range in price from $195-$419, depending on destination and whether transportation is provided, so if you have your own car, the savings on lift tickets and lodging can be even more dramatic. BSSC members will pay a lower fee, but non-members need only pony up a $30 additional fee. A handful of the trips this season will feature no fee for non-members.

BSSC will also conduct day trips every weekend starting Dec. 6 and on weekdays throughout the season. Destinations include Killington, Sunday River, Loon, Jay Peak, Sugarbush, Stowe, Cannon, Okemo, and Wildcat.

These trips run $79 for bus and lift for weekend trips, $67 for weekday trips, including bus transportation, lift tickets, and discounts on rentals and lessons. BSSC offers two bus routes: Greater Boston with pickup locations at Boston, Newton, Woburn and a South Shore route stopping at Pembroke, Quincy and Boston
