Ski Expo Update: The Charging Bull
I look at this picture and cannot help but wonder what PETA thinks.
Bull’s Perspective: Tired… Taking a nap. Need to rest up for Ski Season.

There most certainly are worse places. The animal is not in the path of traffic. Those cobblestones may actually have a therapeutic quality, like those wooden beads people put on their drivers seats.
The Charging Bull could have probably got over the fence of Bowling Green Park and rest on the nice lawn. The risk would be a disturbed peace when the media caught wind of the barbaric treatment. Caging such a beautiful specimen in a public park must be a crime.
Fast forward to mid January…
Can some mountain in New England carve out a trail and name it “The Charging Bull” because that would be fun.
Getting out on the hill is F-U-N. That is why people do it. When it comes down to some morning in mid January and there is snowstorm after snow event punishing the region, are you going to sit at home?
The price of gas is not the problem.
New Flash – Ski areas all across New England are opening for business – Check LINK to see.
Ski Bum: A human, which has mastered the art of survival in a ski community on expectation and passion.
That was my initial take. Admittedly brief and lame, yet to the point. This got me thinking what else is out there…
The Urban Dictionary had this to say
Ski Bum – one who works for low pay in exchange for benefits for example free skipasses or the coveted multi area season’s pass as well as good deals on gear. as always the best things in life are free. this type usually supports itself in the off season by planting trees or other things. occasionally these people will engage in activities to simulate skiing ie dragging your buddy behind an f350 down a dirt road on 206 dynamic skis and a water ski rope
“bill w. is such a ski bum he is a 32 year old ski tuner whose life consists of only two things skiing and waiting to go skiing.”
Little known fact:
There is zero correlation between a great ski day and any form of currency.
Have Fun this Ski Season,
