Super Bowl Weekend!
Folks, if you are thinking of heading north this weekend to take in some Patriots pigskin action this list may help. Every season I put out feelers to the mountains to see what, if anything, they have planned for the big game.
I always trumpet two non-traditional ski holidays.
• Super Bowl Monday
• St. Patrick’s Day (more on that in about 5 weeks)
If you have not done so, request a vacation day for Monday. Feel free to enjoy what could be one of the most historical sports performances ever.

The weekend itself should be nice. Sunshine will end up prevailing at most areas by Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
The only hang up is what happens Friday night. As of Wednesday night, things do not look very good. The meteorologists are talking about inches of hot water. That will put a big damper on the snow surfaces. I will have another entry up if you check back Thursday night or Friday morning for more on the approaching storm. Go north though, the further the better for snow.
Anyway, Friday’s mess aside, the following weekend days should be rather pleasant to be outside in the fresh mountain air. Here is the breakdown of things going downhill on the snow (appearing in alphabetical order) from the mountains themselves.
Go Patriots!
