New Year = More New Snow
Tuesday was New Years Day and with it came a fresh shot of new snow for the Ski Mountains of New England.
After scanning the snow reports, it quickly became apparent that almost everywhere got great snow. Most areas have seen at least 18 inches in the last 24 hours.

This was equally as apparent yesterday as I sat on Interstate 91 heading southbound.
Traffic was ridiculous.
A ride that normally takes a little over two hours was more than doubled making it closer to five. Because it was mostly stop and go, I had ample time to observe that the license plates on the vehicles around me. They all told the story of people ending their week vacations and heading back to the reality, which is life.
The new shot of snow has vaulted the conditions in New England back to the “As Good As They Get,” again.
There further south in New England you travel (or closer to the coast) though the snow got heavier and tapered off into a rain event. Trust me though, there is a TON of it up North and it is light, dry and fluffy..

Skiing over the next few days should be grand. However, Thursday is going to be extremely cold. If you do make it out be sure to bundle up and be careful of frostbite.
