Skiing

Snow Experiment

Breaking News:

The first precipitation seen in downtown Boston at approximately 6:00 pm Sunday night. All snow!

This is a massive snowstorm closing in on New England. The skiing in riding will be fantastic later this week and into next weekend. I am confident that some mountains will be knee deep in powder with 100% of their terrain open. Start figuring out how to get north now.

I ended last season with a powder day, kicking off this one with the same would be nice.
S.G. first day Tip Sheet
• If you are going to break out new skis stick to the terrain that has already been open (snowmaking base)
• Old gear will work just fine and go wherever you want
• Scrapper/brush for vehicle
• Do not forgot anything essential to skiing (mental checklist of everything you want on for the first ride up a chairlift)
• Check you gear out, do not wait until the night before you plan on leaving
• Scout the area you plan on visiting
• Take it slow, having a season ender day 1 is a sucker mistake
Keep a close eye on your favortie areas this week, LINK HERE
I will not have the opportunity to venture north until the weekend.
I am not particularly bothered about this. Depending on the duration of the storm and the weather it produces there will still be plenty of fresh lines out there to be had Friday and Saturday. Once we see the results later in the week on Wednesday night then it is safe to make a fair evaluation.
Keep Thinking Snowstorm,
S.G.
