Attitash, NH is open for the season!
This New Hampshire ski area got a very big snowmaking upgrade this summer.
It works!
has not wasted anytime showing off their new ability to conjure up a blizzard.
The S.G. got a close up peak at one of the 34 monster fan cannons they hooked up with at the Ski Expo. Some of the folks in the booth were giving me the hairy eyeball as I climbed all over this thing like a kid with my camera clicking.
Awesome piece of equipment!
Attitash jumped into the mix this past Sunday opening with a top to bottom run, Illusion (on Bear Peak, experts only warning). The resort got new owners this summer and they sank a cool $2.5 million into snowmaking enhancements.
Current Snowmaking: Moat, Lower Grand Stand, Spillway, Base areas, Thad’s Choice, Learning Center, Snowbelt, and Illusion.

Now that Attitash broke these puppies in they plan to be on full throttle until the trials are 100% open. I like what I am seeing and hearing from the Bartlett, NH spot. Looking forward to more good reports all season. Hit their website for additional info ~ Attitash
Projected Terrain for Thanksgiving weekend: Several trails on Attitash will be added to the trail count including Moat, Spillway, The Learning Center, and Thad’s Choice. Thad’s Choice is home to The ATP Fly Zone Terrain Park and will have park elements in place for the weekend.

Early season prices will be in effect for the period beginning on our projected opening of 11/18 through Wednesday 11/21:
$30 for adults 19 -64
$20 for ages 6-18 & 65+
Early season rates beyond 11/21 have not been announced.
Snow Guarantee: Our Snow Guarantee will not go into effect until After 11/22 due to limited terrain and early season conditions.
Whatever, either way we are looking at the best Thanksgiving weekend skiing we have seen in New England in many years. Try to get out there and enjoy it.
